Cala Galdana is one of the most pictuesque and busier resorts in Menorca.  Known as the 'Queen of the Calas', Cala Galdana is built up around a beautiful, horseshoe-shaped beach with fine, white sand surrounded by high, pine-clad cliffs.  The shallow water and numerous water sport activities make Cala Galdana a firm favourite with tourists, many returning year after year.  The beach has been awarded 'Blue Flag' status for safety.

The resort has all the usual facilities including a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants together with a small water park and children's play area.  There is little in the way of nightlife with most of the evening entertainment centred around the hotels.

Some of the larger hotels are positioned high up on the cliffs giving stunning views across the bay but meaning access to the beach could be a little tricky for those with walking difficulty and families with small children.

Cala Galdana is the perfect base for exploring the south of Menorca by foot or cycle and discovering the many natural, unspoilt beaches and coves in the area.  A regular bus service is available to the nearby town of Ferreries and from here connections are provided to Mahon and Ciutadella.
