For those looking for a livelier resort in Menorca with a fair amount of entertainment, Arenal d’en Castell could be the answer.

Arenal d’en Castell is a poular resort with British visitors and has developed around a magnificent, crescent-shaped beach of fine, clean sand sheltered by cliffs. The shallow waters are perfect for children, while a range of water sports and other activities are available.

There are two main hotels but the majority of accommodation in Arenal d’en Castell is made up of self catering apartments and private villas. Some of the accommodation is located high on the cliffs giving superb views of the bay but also means that getting to the beach could be difficult for some visitors.

The resort offers a good selection of restaurants and lively bars, many providing evening entertainment. Add together a reasonable choice of shops and you have an excellent base for your holiday in Menorca.

Addaia (Addaya) is situated on Menorca’s northern coastline and surrounds a pretty natural harbour.  It doesn’t have its own beach, which means it is less busy than some of the other resorts in Menorca, but does have a marina where boats can be hired to explore the local coastline as well as a waterside bar where you can simply relax and watch the view.

There are several bars/restaurants and a supermarket within Addaia but it really is a place to get away from it all and enjoy some peace and tranquility.

Nearby is the small, old-fashioned seaside village of Na Macaret, with its own beach and popular restaurants.  Arenal d’en Castell is the nearest larger resort, with a beautiful beach, perfect for sunbathing, swimming and enjoying a few watersports.
